Abide in me

This came out of a prayerful time with God. As I poured my heart out to Him, He began pouring His out to me. I quickly reached for a pen to get it all down.
Then He said, "Share it"...
Sometimes we make things "work" that were never intended to be "work" and that is what this is poem is all about. Living from a loving space rather than a striving space. I could say more but I will let the poem speak for itself.
It’s not about the work
It’s about the relationship
Will you abide in me?
Will you trust that sometimes you will see the fruit or your labor
and sometimes you won’t but,
if you remain in me, YOUR fruit…
The fruit that grows on YOUR tree will be good
And satisfying
And it will be ours

Your worth is not measured by outcomes.
Your worth abides in me
and never changes.
Nurture what I am growing in YOU.
Grow YOUR tree and let everything else
be what it’s going to be…
Pursue love
Spread seed
Water seed
Nurture seed
Prune, burn and regrow—
Do the work that needs done in every season.
From love
For love
To love
Because of love
Scatter seed everywhere you go
Gather ripe souls as they come to you
But in your doing,
Abide in me,
Stay close.
And let your doing always flow from being—
The kind of being
that flows from being with me.
