Seasoned Registered Nurse with 17 years of experience providing compassionate patient care, collaborating with physicians and managing rapidly changing situations. I cared for patients and their families as they improved and also as their lives came to an end. My experience in nursing provides a rich base of experience while transitioning into a new professional role as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Prior to opening my private practice I had a year and a half experience in the field through my internship at Evangelical Seminary. During that time, I established a therapeutic relationship with clients and collaborated to help them meet their goals in therapy.   • I work in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU) where I recover patients after surgery. This includes management of pain and nausea, and collaboration with physicians to address immediate post-op needs and/or concerns.

  • During this time, I worked in the Intensive Care Unit where I managed the care of critically ill adult patients.
